Terms of Use

• You must be at least 13 years old to have an account.
• You are responsible for your account and for everything done with it.
• You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.

• You keep ownership of what you upload.
• You give Histree permission to store, copy, process and show what you upload, only as needed to run Histree for you and the family you share it with.
• Only upload things you have the right to share. You are responsible for what you post, including what you say about other people.
• Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that exploits or endangers a child. Don’t use Histree to threaten, stalk or impersonate anyone.
• You can report a memory with the ⚑ button. We may remove content or close accounts that break these terms, at our discretion.

Family trees are built by relatives and may contain mistakes. Histree does not check facts, dates or relationships and is not a source of legal, medical or genealogical proof.

Histree is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t promise Histree will always be available, error-free or secure, or that anything you upload will be kept. Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you. Sealed messages open based on the information on the tree, which may be wrong or change.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Histree and the people behind it are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, content, or relationships, arising from your use of Histree or anything posted on it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $0 if you paid nothing.

We may change Histree or these terms, or stop offering Histree. The date at the top shows when these terms last changed. Using Histree after a change means you accept the new terms.
